Plusdental — Clear aligners, clearer journeys

Plusdental brings medically supervised aligner treatment to patients at a fraction of traditional cost. I designed the patient-facing journey — from the first 3D scan appointment to tracking months of treatment progress at home.

The challenge

Aligner treatment spans months and mostly happens away from any clinic. Patients felt alone between check-ins — unsure if trays fit correctly, when to switch, or whether slow weeks meant something was wrong.

The approach

Working with dentists and support teams, I mapped the emotional lows of the journey and designed around them: guided tray changes, photo-based remote check-ins, and progress framing that celebrated movement instead of counting remaining months.

The outcome

Remote check-in adoption climbed, treatment drop-offs fell, and clinical teams gained earlier visibility into fit issues. The journey framework informed how Plusdental onboarded every new patient cohort after launch.
